Korean traditional embroidery involves silk, silk-satin or cotton over a tambour, sketches on the cloth and embroiders with colored thread.   Techniques of Embroidery:

Korean stitch style may be similar to other popular western style; however, because of difference in thread and its history, the style is not exactly same.   Contour lines (similar to outline stitch, whipped running stitch)                   Filling in area (similar to Satin stitch, long & short stitch, brick stitch, close stitch)                     Special Background (similar to pine leaves style stitch, Y style stitch, Kont)
